In January 2021, in response to a striking increase in concern over climate change – with 70% of people across eight countries saying COVID-19 had made them more aware of the eco threat of human activity – a collection of female climate scientists gathered together to launch Science Moms. [1] A non-partisan campaign, Science Moms aims to demystify the science behind climate change, provoke transparent discussion about its potential impact for the next generation, and provide parents, and mothers in particular, with the information they need to take action on an individual level.
