Scope

On his 22nd birthday George Bamford’s father gave him “the holy grail of watches” – a steel black Rolex Daytona housing a Zenith movement. [1] For months he showed off what he considered to be the pinnacle of watch collecting, until he turned up at a dinner party and was humbled by the watches worn by other guests. It wasn’t that their timepieces were better than his Rolex. Worse, they were exactly the same. This was the catalyst for the founding of Bamford Watch Department.
