We’re all starting to comprehend the huge potential – and potential risks – of AI. In education, unscrupulous kids are outsourcing their homework to ChatGPT, while startups are promoting AI as a tool to personalise learning. So how are students, teachers, and parents navigating this brave new world?

Charlotte Lopez-Jauffret

Charlotte Lopez-Jauffret is an adjunct criminology professor at Catholic University in Washington DC. She has worked as a DNA technician at a private lab and later worked as a forensic intelligence analyst in the public sector. Lopez-Jauffret’s research interests include how perceptions of institutional legitimacy influence individuals’ willingness to participate in criminal investigations.

Mark Tenenbaum is a fourth-year PhD student at American University. He studies US politics with a focus on religion, race and ethnicity, and political behaviour. Tenenbaum’s current research projects examine how social pressure pushes individuals within religious groups to conform to group political norms.

Marcus Johnson

Marcus H. Johnson is a PhD candidate in political science at American University in Washington D.C. His research interests include racial competition, political behaviour, and social identity in American politics. Johnson’s research projects include investigating how the racial income gap influences prejudice.
