During the pandemic, many shoppers have been looking to cut costs. But it isn’t just low prices that are winning new customers at dollar stores. With a multitude of locations, they’re tapping into easy convenience and winning with their in-store experience.

Dr. Mark Lee

Dr. Mark Lee is an Associate Professor at Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University. His primary research interests are in the consumer behavior discipline. Dr. Lee was named as the recipient of the Axcess-Capon Distinguished Teaching Award by the Society of Marketing Advances (SMA), the second Canadian ever to receive this prestigious recognition.

Barbara Kahn

Dr. Barbara Kahn is an internationally recognized scholar on brand loyalty, retail assortment, and patient decision-making. She co-authored Grocery Revolution: The New Focus on the Consumer, a book that chronicled the dramatically changing supermarket industry and outlined how consumers make choices.
