Mobile phones fulfil different roles for different people; teens may use them to text at all hours, while travellers can turn to them for guidance overseas. As a result, consumers want tariffs that suit their needs. Canvas8 spoke to 20 Britons about what matters to them in a phone contract.

"Over the last year, data usage on T-Mobile’s network has skyrocketed! It’s up more than 50%," says Neville Ray, CTO at T-Mobile. In a bid to cater to the growing number of streamers, the network will offer those on unlimited data plans a throttling cap more than double its competitors.
