Alice is a startup that strives to put more money in employee bank accounts by making them aware of pre-tax benefits that are offered by their employer. Alice’s app connects to the payrolls of participating employers in under 15 minutes, and saves employees as much as $4,000. Alice is being integrated with some of the largest payroll platforms in America, such as Paychex and ADP. Once an employer has connected their payroll app with Alice employees, they'll be able to login to connect their credit or debit information and Alice will notify them via text if their purchase has a pre-tax incentive. Alice is not only for the corporate world and appeals to a wide variety of employees: "If you have W2 employees, full-time or part-time, who have eyes, teeth, kids, or a commute, Alice will increase their take-home pay, pretty much automatically," says Avi Karnani, Alice’s co-founder.
