Boundless Life offers the digital nomad life to families

The digital nomad lifestyle isn't just for young professionals anymore. Families can now join in the fun. Boundless Life offers nomadic education for families on the go who value lessons beyond the classroom. With remote work becoming the norm, there is a push for alternative lifestyles.

The digital nomad life is becoming increasingly popular, but the phrase often conjures an image of a single, mid-20s software engineer who works on a tropical island, sipping a Mai Tai while coding away on a laptop. But the start-up Boundless Life is disrupting this presumption by offering a global network with project-based education, experiential learning, cultural immersion, and furnished homes where families can live for three months at a time. This way, parents can work remotely, travel with their family, and not worry about their kids missing out on vital education. "During the pandemic, like many people, we started to ask how we wanted to live our life, how we wanted to raise our kids," says Boundless Life co-founder Mauro Repacci. "And we felt like we were limiting ourselves by staying in the same country for a long time."

COVID-19 disrupted people's perception of work and play. The increasing move to flexible working conditions offers a wealth of opportunity for families whose priorities shift beyond the stagnant 9-5 working days. According to a 2022 survey by Lonely Planet 70% of global respondents identified as ‘anywhere workers,’ and 70% of those people were parents who took their families with them as they travelled. Looking at the data in more detail, 55% of people are ‘slomads,’ which means they enjoy working in one location and moving every three months or so. For this reason, Ukio’s luxury short-term accommodation for digital nomads resonates with this desire for low-commitment stays, while SafetyWing takes care of the insurance required for nomadic health, travel, and employment.
