BookTok is perpetuating publishing inequitiesThe publishing industry has previously faced criticism for its lack of representation, and BookTok only seems to be exacerbating the issue. While TikTok can help authors get discovered and obtain high-paying book deals, it is critical to consider how to equitably uplift non-White writers.
