How has the pandemic affected notions of what's ‘sexy’?

People magazine’s title of Sexiest Man Alive in 2021 went to the 52-year-old star of Ant-Man, Paul Rudd, who beat out the likes of Chris Evans, Regé-Jean Page, and Maluma, among others. What does this choice suggest about post-pandemic masculinity and the ways that people now define ‘sexy’?
