How are barriers to play being removed?

Lockdowns saw gaming become a source of comfort and escapism for millions. However, there remain barriers to entry, driving calls to make virtual worlds more accessible. How are developers creating spaces and tools that work for all? And how can an inclusive mindset in gaming impact other sectors?

Tara Voelker

Tara Voelker is a passionate accessibility advocate and a games industry veteran, having worked on titles such as Red Faction: Guerrilla, Bioshock Infinite, and The Order: 1886. She is currently the Xbox gaming and disability community lead as part of the Gaming for Everyone program, and co-director of #GAConf, the world’s first conference dedicated to game accessibility.
