Yet it’s hard to go cold turkey on brands that are indispensable in daily life. As consumers realise the value of their data, they see data-sharing with organisations as a quid pro quo relationship. In fact, up to

 of Britons and 16% of Americans would be willing to share data if they were paid for it, this presents opportunities for brands capable of offering incentives that are tailored to the individual.

. Given that 39% of Gen Z women are always concerned about their safety and security, while 

 feel safer when they share their location before or during a date, data-sharing can have clear positive outcomes. Even so, reassurance that the user – not the brand – is in control is crucial.
