Chatbots have become a large part of online service providing in the past years, with many brands using them to talk to consumers. Yet, a recent survey in Israel shows that people still don’t enjoy speaking to chatbots and dislike brands that leave them with no other way of communicating.

While emerging technologies could make various aspects of everyday life more convenient, many Americans are wary; 69% think facial recognition tech is 'creepy' and 50% say the same of retailer chatbots. People’s comfort levels depend on the context of their use and how ‘human-like’ the tech seems.
