Emotional pain can physically hurt

Many that've gone through a messy break-up talk about their feelings of pain as physical symptoms. The phrase 'broken hearted' implies a corporal element to emotional turmoil and now studies are indicating that emotional pain may indeed take as much of a toll on us as physical pain.
