Research finds people recognise up to 5,000 faces

A study has discovered that people on average are able to recognise 5,000 faces of friends, family members, colleagues, and celebrities, on average. Evolutionarily speaking, humans have typically lived in groups of under 100, yet today, we're equipped to recognise a much larger number of people.
