Tony Fadell, the man who helped oversee the design of Apple's iPod and iPhone, has designed a new thermostat, as beautiful as any Apple device and just as smart inside; a thermostat that promises to 'learn' the patterns of its users.

People without a smart television can now buy Now TV - a box that connects up with HDMI and provides access to iPlayer, the BBC News app, Demand 5 and Sky News as well as Spotify, Facebook and Flickr. The Now TV box only costs £10.
