Bridging the gap between art and science, Alan Jaras bends, twists and turns light through various textured materials. Colour is added into the clear plastic which changes the way it hardens, further enhancing the shapes created. The final pattern is then captured directly on to 35mm film by replacing the camera lens with the coloured transparent object.
