Spending on wellness tourism is soaring as health-conscious individuals splash their cash in the pursuit of longevity. But with advancements in healthcare technology advancing at a rapid pace – incorporating everything from biohacking to hormone tracking – how can hospitality destinations keep up?

Karolina Lofquist founded hormone-tracking app Hormona in 2023 after suffering from an abundance of hormone-related health problems. The app has been designed to bridge the gap between women and their hormones by tracking cycles, symptoms, and other aspects of the reproductive system and using data to better inform femtech solutions.

Patrizia Bortolin

Patrizia Bortolin serves as a consultant and founder of Glowing Flow Spa Consultancy, and in 2023, she began her involvement in Abu Dhabi’s Kintsugi Space. She is internationally renowned for her pioneering concepts in emotional and creative wellness and also serves as the creative director for the Art of Wellness at Kintsugi.
