She is also a sought-after speaker and a judge at prestigious jewellery competitions including the UK Jewellery Awards and The Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards. Taylor was the co-founder of The Jewellery Cut, a bi-annual jewellery show in London, creative director of the Women's Jewellery Network, and founding editor of Professional Jeweller and WatchPro magazines. She is also a consultant for globally recognised businesses in the jewellery industry.
In 2011, Maia Adams co-founded Adorn, a jewellery-focussed market intelligence agency with a mission to shape the future of jewellery. Through Adorn she consults for jewellery brands, manufacturers, retailers, and universities around the world. As a journalist and writer she has authored the best-selling book Fashion Jewellery: Catwalk & Couture (published by Laurence King), two weekly columns for The Guardian newspaper, and a range of pieces for other publications including Elle, Vogue, and WGSN.
She has a Fashion Communication degree from Central Saint Martins and a Genetics degree from Cardiff University.
