Scope

Social media's running commentary on popular culture means today anyone can voice their concerns or amplify the concerns of others. While few would openly identify themselves as ‘prejudiced’ for fear of consequence, in a connected world, people are watching more closely what they say and who they align with. As issues of representation and diversity come to the fore – gender, race, age, sexual orientation, wealth or religion – the risk of offending has never been greater.
