Whose responsibility is it to drive action against climate change?

As COP26 – an event that’s been called the last-chance saloon for seriously mitigating the climate crisis – continues, one question has come into focus: who exactly is going to fix this? Following dire reports from the scientific community and frequent political setbacks, a sense of nobody being in charge has fuelled already-raging eco-anxieties. And as these concerns trickle down to an individual level, people with a genuine desire to adopt sustainable behaviours are finding themselves desperate for a rulebook to follow.
