Since its release in late 2011, the novel Fifty Shades of Grey has gone from a cult digital title to a record-breaking bestseller on both sides of the Atlantic. Much media attention has fallen on the demographic buying the book: older women and housewives, as well as teens and university students. Its success has been attributed in large part to the discreet nature of the Amazon Kindle, and major publishing houses are now scrambling to release their own 'Mommy porn'.
