Does increasing corporate influence risk undermining the magic that made festivals so attractive in the first place?

Scope
Music festivals present compelling opportunities for brands, since they attract an energised, engaged and predominantly young demographic. Alongside the growth of festivals,  there has been a corresponding increase in branding and sponsorship from companies eager to capitalise on the party atmosphere.

As well as traditional branded alcohol tents, brands are beginning to offer novel, interactive experiences to draw people in. But does this increasing corporate influence risk undermining the magic that made festivals so attractive in the first place?
