Ghana Think Tank

The Ghana Think Tank is an arts project which demonstrates the importance of fresh perspectives and cultural relevance, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Location Global

After years of not-for-profit work three artists and aid workers identified a problem with international aid. The solutions that Western organisations were implementing on the developing world were harbouring a major oversight; ignorance of the local wisdom of the communities. To add to this frustration, the bureaucracy of big aid organisations meant that if a community rejected a development package, they were labelled a 'difficult community' who were then unable to receive further aid.
