Law and policy regarding land use, climate change, subnational governance
Sheila Foster is a Georgetown professor of law and public policy. She has been published in top journals and books and has worked with government agencies on a range of policy issues, including environmental and climate policy. She was the chair of the advisory committee of the Global Parliament of Mayors from 2017 to 2020 and is a member of the New York City Mayor's Panel on Climate Change, where she co-chairs the workgroup on climate equity. Foster co-directs LabGov, an international applied research project that has pioneered an award-winning multisector, collaborative governance model for managing urban and community infrastructure.
