Media and communications expert; author of 'Clearly Invisible' and 'Eminem'
Marcia Dawkins is a senior research scientist at the Center for Creative Leadership with over 20 years of experience in communications and media. Before joining CCL, Dawkins was a communication professor at the University of Southern California. She writes about identity and leadership. She's the author of Clearly Invisible: Racial Passing and the Color of Cultural Identity, which was nominated for a Grawemeyer Award; Eminem: The Real Slim Shady, which was nominated for an NAACP Award; Mixed Race 3.0, and Explorations in Public Speaking. Her thought leadership has been featured in prestigious keynotes and media outlets such as BBC World, AOL Originals, NPR, and ABC News.
