Jennifer Reich is a professor of sociology at the University of Colorado, Denver. Her research examines how individuals and families weigh information and strategise interactions with the state and service providers in the context of law and policy. She's the author of two award-winning books, Calling the Shots: Why Parents Reject Vaccines and Fixing Families: Parents, Power, and the Child Welfare System, and has written extensively on vaccines, reproductive health, welfare, hospital care, and multiracial families.
