- Director of Japanese Mobile Intelligence organisation Mobikyo. Lawrence is also the Founder of Mobile Monday Tokyo, a popular networking organisation supporting the domestic mobile community, and has been a publisher for Wireless Watch Japan since 2001.
Based in Tokyo since 2001, and dedicated to reporting on the mobile industry, Lars has gained a unique understanding of - and developed a wide network of contacts with - telecom operators, handset makers, and many content, application and service providers both in Japan and abroad.
Lars founded Wireless Watch Japan (WWJ), a subscription service that provides an English-language insight into Japan's mobile industry to professionals from around the world.
Serving as the Representative Director of Mobikyo, which publishes WWJ, Lars organises Mobile Monday (MoMo) Tokyo events which support the Japanese domestic mobile industry and are a key gathering point for analysts, executives, entrepreneurs, developers, managers and media.
As a founder and lead organiser of the MoMo community, Lars has met countless domestic and international attendees and travelled to MoMo events in Barcelona, Colombo, Helsinki, Islamabad, Jakarta, Johannesburg, Kampala, Kuala Lumpur, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Nairobi, Rio de Janerio, St.Petersburg, Seoul, Singapore, Stockholm, Tallinn and Vancouver.
Lars is often interviewed by international media, from ABC Radio to Forbes and the Wall Street Journal. He is a frequent contact point for industry players visiting Tokyo and a 'fixer' for in-bound executive tours, producer of custom research reports, and speaker at global conference events.
Lars lives and works in Tokyo, Japan.
