    Scope
    Paleo is a lifestyle diet that is gaining attention in the US, UK and Europe. A break from low-fat, calorie-counting, 'free-from' diets, it emphasises the importance of understanding our species' evolutionary history by determining which foods promote optimal health, and states that modern agriculture and food processing are not conducive to the way our bodies have developed since the Paleolithic period, over 2.5 million years ago.
