    Scope
    Until now, the Halal market has been driven by the food and financial sectors, but the needs of Muslim beauty consumers, particularly in western cultures, remain relatively unexplored. Many conventional beauty products contain alcohol, pork, or other animal-related ingredients which are not strictly in line with the Muslim lifestyle.

    This article explores the changing relationship between the Muslim faith and the beauty industry. Is ‘Beautyligion’ a passing phase, or does it present a genuinely untapped opportunity for brands?
