55,000 retail outlets worldwide now have near field communications (NFC) at their disposal, and Barclays has issued 14.8 million contactless cards in the UK since 2007. By 2014, Taiwan's Digitimes estimates that over half of new smartphones will be NFC-ready. But how do people feel about this emerging form of payment? We speak to eight NFC virgins between the ages of 18 and 54 in London to gauge their reactions to the technology - particularly where security and privacy are concerned. -
