Mobile phones have invaded our public and private spaces. With technologies that ensure constant connectivity, examining the social rules that accompany mobile phone usage is more relevant than ever. Are there any explicit or implicit norms? Do they differ culturally, or are they universal?We spoke to ten students, five in Mumbai, India and five in London, UK, to find out.
