From fitness to finance, many people use their data to keep track of their lives

The natural human drive for mental, physical and practical self improvement is accelerated by a host of data tracking services. People are increasingly taking control of their own data - whether it relates to diet, exercise or finance - and using it to wrestle back control of their increasingly busy and fragmented lives.We spoke with five people about their own experiences of data tracking, the motivations behind it, and the benefits and insights they have gained as a result.
