Meaning you won't get from a guidebook
Creative Commons, Sandor Weisz (2009) ©Scope
Packabook seeks to 'explore the world through fiction', looking at the relationship between stories and the places they are set. It’s a free website which allows users to discover novels set in locations they intend to visit, encouraging a more lateral approach to travel. By reading about characters who have lived, loved, fought and died in the areas they wish to visit, Packabook hopes to offer a more personal and tailored travel experience that can’t be found in a guidebook. -
