Who We Are

Canvas8 was conceived in November 2007 in a small noodle bar in Camden. It fused the skills and understanding of a leading agency planner with the creative and technological knowhow of a premier global fashion trends service.
In April 2008 Nick Morris (ex-WGSN and Emap) and Stuart Hubbard (ex-WGSN) founded Canvas8, drawing on the extensive experience of senior industry figures from agencies and brands.
Canvas8 is a global trends service that draws on the knowledge of recognised industry thought leaders to offer expert insight into attitudes and behaviour. We encourage a deeper understanding of people so brands and agency planners can more effectively engage with their audience.
We are a lively group of anthropologists, sociologists, journalists and researchers who are passionate about ideas, new technologies and the dynamics of human behaviour.
Our growing list of Thought Leaders includes Tom Doctoroff (Chief executive of JWT Asia and author of the book Billions); Gerd Leonhard (renowned media futurist); Sara Diamond (President of the Ontario College of Art and Design); Marco Bevolo (former Director of Foresight and Trends at Philips); Alan Moore (founder of Engagement Marketing consultancy SMLXL); Joe Pine (author of Mass Customization and The Experience Economy) and Lars Cosh-Ishii (mobile consultant and founder of Wireless Watch Japan).
